Facts about Human Body

Allah has made human body with such a perfection that no fault can be found. Human Body is the unique body that can live at different conditions by keeping its inner environment constant through a process called Homeostasis.

So here I am gonna list some interesting facts about the human body:

Sleep Paralysis:

It is a condition that happens to a person usualy when going to sleep or waking up from it. In this condition, a person is unable to move but can feel the surrounding. During this condition, hallucinations may also begin especially due to fear. This condition can last about a couple of minutes.

Muscles in human body:

Studies show that there are over 650 named muscles in our body but according to a study, the total number of muscles can count upto 840.

The Beating of Heart

Our heart beats about 100,000 times per day. So, in a day, it can send about 2000 gallons of blood around the body.

Yawning:

No reason of yawning has yet found by the scientists. But it can be linked to tiredness, sleepiness, sleep disorders etc.

Blood vessels:

If we open our blood vessels and make a straight thread. Then it can encircle the Earth 4 times.

Blood:

Blood makes up 8% of our total body weight.

Saliva Production rate:

We produce so much salive a year that it can fill up at least 2 bath tubs a year.

Dreaming:

About 12% of people around the globe dream in black and white.

Skin Renews itself:

Do You know that skin completely renews itself? It takes about 28 days for the skin cells to renew themselves.
According to Charles Weschler, it Takes 3 to 4 weeks for the human to shed their entire outer layer of skin. So the rate of shedding the skin flakes is about 0.001 to 0.003 ounces per hour.

The strongest Bone:

The strongest bone present in our body is Femur, and it is also the longest bone of our body.

The growing rate of nail:

Our nails grow at the rate of 3.47 millimeters per month. That makes up about tenth of a millimeter per day. If we loose a finger nail, our nail can take upto 6 month to completely recover itself.

Nail cells are Dead

The outer part of nail that is visible is called nail plate or corpus unguis is made up of dead cells. New cells grow from the back and keep pushing the older ones to move out.

Our Hairs are dead:

Our hairs are made up of dead cells. New cells begin to form in the root. Hair has basically two parts. The upper part is called Shaft and the lower part is called root. The part of hair that contains the living cells is the root whereas the shaft contains the dead cells.

Cracking sound of knuckles:

The sound we hear when crack our knuckles is due to the popping of the bubbles that form in the synovial fluid of the joint cartilage.

Allah has given us so much Blessings that we can’t even enlist everyone of them. Every reality that we reveal about our body just leads to another hidden mystery to unveil.
